Property Type – 4 Star Property Category – Modern Address – 4 Chernomorskaya St, Sochi, 354002, RU Room Type We Stayed In – Sea view Room. £58.00 per room per night Experience – After 1 night spent at Ferry, we reached Sochi on 2nd October morning. First thing as we entered Sochi via Port, we thought why Winter Olympics in this city? I am sure lot of people had same questions when they first visit Sochi :-) Any ways we booked Sea Galaxy Hotel for 1 night. Sochi’s first impression is like any other beach city and nowhere closer to winter town. Port from Sea Galaxy was hardly 15 mins drive but it took us time in order to clear the immigration, searching for car insurance and visa clearance etc. (read blog for more details). Finally we reached Hotel and went to the car parking area. We were a little early but the staff was kind enough to let us check in and we went to our room which was immaculate, spacious, and very bright with great views. Hotel is in great location so you have market, beach and restaurants nearby. We searched one nice restaurant which was few Kms away and went to dine there. Be careful with cab drivers as they try to rip you off so be good with negotiation or use meter only. Hotel staff is extremely nice. We planned 1 night and 2 days trip to Moscow and left our car in Hotel’s parking which they allowed for free of cost. Only issue is no one was speaking English there so we had little tough time but Google translator works every where :-) Definitely recommend this cost effective hotel with great service and location.
