Jabra Evolve 75 UC Wireless Headset Battery Replacement
COVID has drastically changed how we conduct our business and one thing that stands out is connecting with your peers, clients and stakeholders. And the tool that allows you to make it a breeze is getting the right wireless headset, I would say after trying hands on couple of them I zeroed it on Jabra Evolve 75 UC Wireless Headset. I would admit I got it complimentary from Jabra as part of their program which they advertised on LinkedIn and after 2 years of rigorous use the battery finally died. So I started looking around how I could replace it myself (being a DIY guy) and was unable to find the one for my model. So with whatever information I could collect I started and this turned out to be more convenient that other model that has been covered by other people. So here are the steps if you are in the same boat as me:
  • Battery is in the left ear-piece (without mic) and you may start by unscrewing it on one side and then raising the speaker to 90 degrees to the base on the other pivot point and push it out. You don't have to push it too hard, if you need to then you are doing something wrong.
  • Then you will see 3 screws, pull the thin plastic sheet out and you will see the battery. Based on the information on the internet I ended up buying a smaller size battery on eBay
  • I removed the cables from the old battery and put them on the new one and voila, headset was again wireless.

Do you happen to have a picture/photo of the circuit with the cable connecting to the headset earpiece? I need to know where to connect those cables! My brother tried (and managed) to forcefully unattach the clip but then accidentally broken the connection, I don't know how to connect it anymore, no reference! (The two black wire from the ear-piece)

Hi Aszthena, Unfortunately, those pins go in the place which has black paste on top, hence tricky to know exactly where the black wires will go :-(

Hi, interesting article. What is the size of pin your purchased, there are multiple options in the ebay link you have provided

Hi Prakash, It was a regular sized pin, when you search on eBay with the dimension of the battery (as I have written on top of it), you will find the battery.
